Optimal RPM Setup for Electric Conversion
(Determine Gears)

The tables below will help determine what gears to use with the Electric Conversion Kit ( CN1000EC ) based on the motor and battery you want to use.

 

Use the table below if all of the following apply:

  • You have a Hawk Pro, 50NX, Century .30 or .50 scale mechanics, Century .30 or .50 scale helicopter, Raven 50, Raven 30, Falcon SE v3, or Falcon SE v2.
  • You are getting the Electric Conversion Kit, CN1000EC (or it's already included in your kit).
  • You already have a motor and/or battery (or you want to use a specific motor and/or battery)
  • You are willing to change the gears (if necessary) on your helicopter to achieve your desired optimal RPM

If you do not have a motor and/or battery yet, see the Optimal RPM Setup for Electric Conversion (Determine Motor&Battery) Tables to determine what motor and/or battery is best suited to use with your Century helicopter's stock gears.

* NOTE: All calculations based on theoretical voltage of 3.7 volts per cell. Desired optimal headspeed for 2-bladed setup is between 1650-1800 RPM. Desired setup for multi-bladed setup is between 1550-1750 RPM.
