I
have been flying model aircraft for about 20 years
starting with fixed wing and moving over to rotary
approximately 9 years ago. Through those years I
have owned pretty much every ship out there (except
a fury!). The early years started with a Shuttle
and shortly thereafter I had 3 Ninja’s, the
original and two magnums. I really enjoyed those
ships, they seemed way ahead of their time. I have
been flying Predator’s since they were introduced
and I think it is the best heli available! I do
most of the setups for our local hobby shop (Wheels,
Wings, -N- Hobbies) and have setup/flown many Hawks,
Ravens, and Predator’s as well as rappy’s,
Fury’s, etc. I am also a field representative
for Wildcat Fuels and ModelSport blades/accessories.
I have been an AMA District Associate Vice President
for the past 7 years and attend all the state fun
flies. I am also an AMA Leader Member and Contest
Director.
In
my professional career I am a Certified RehabTechnology
Specialist which means I build custom wheelchairs,
seating components, and electronic systems for wheelchairs.
I work with unfortunate individuals, mostly pediatrics
and develop ways to keep them more independent.
I work through a local hospital and travel quite
a bit throughout North Dakota. I do a lot of engineering
and fabricating which slides over to my hobby as
well. One
of the drive systems we have worked with is actually
two small piezo gyro’s on X and Y axis that
controls a power wheelchair by tilting the head
in the direction you want to go. I very much look
forward to representing Century and hope to meet
you all at various events!
