Steve, 34 yrs old, has been involved with R/C aircraft for 20 years. He started with sailplanes (slope and thermal) in the late 1980s, advanced to powered fixed wing aircraft and then began flying helicopters in 1992. During the last 15 years, he's owned, built and flown 30, 60 and 90 size glow and electric powered helis from brands like Kalt, JR, Miniature Aircraft and Century. He's also enjoyed helping various up-and-coming pilots learn on whatever heli they've got.

Steve is an accomplished pilot whose flying is a mix of FAI and 3D; He enjoys the discipline associated with practicing the F3C patterns and realizes the benefits of good orientation associated with 3D flying. Since flying his first Century helicopter (a Hawk III) in 2000, Steve has been a strong proponent of Century as a high-value oriented heli manufacturer. "Regardless of whether I want to fly FAI or 3D," he says, "my Century helis have been, and continue to be up to the task."
